Kulun (Kirg. Kulun) is the first largest mountain lake in the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. Fergana Range on the territory of the Kulunatinsky State Reserve. The lake is a reservoir of rich origin. The Kulun river flows into the lake. The water that seeps through the blockage forms Kulun Lake.
The Kulunatsky State Reserve is a specially protected natural territory of Kyrgyzstan, established in 2004, which is located in the Kara-Kuldzhinsky district of the Osh region. It was organized in Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated August 11, 2004 No. 598 in order to preserve biodiversity, rich gene pool, juniper and coniferous forests, improve the protection of biological resources, expand the network of specially protected natural resources.
