There are a lot of interesting picturesque places in Kyrgyzstan. This country is rich in nature, mighty mountains, unusually beautiful lakes and other natural wonders. Thanks to this, tourism in Kyrgyzstan is very developed.

In this article we want to introduce you to the waterfall of Abshir-Ata (Osh region). This waterfall of extraordinary beauty is in the valley of Abshir-Say, 70 km from the city of Osh. The valley is located at an altitude of 1500-2500 m above sea level. Those wishing to see this waterfall will have to walk about 3000 m along the gorge from the mouth of the river. Once you reach the waterfall, you will see an amazing picture: a waterfall, a height 12-15 meters from the ground, and a diameter of 1.5 meters flows down a steep rock with a powerful stream of water. The water in this amazing place is rich in minerals, and many consider it even holy. Traveling around Kyrgyzstan, tourists and residents are happy to gain life-giving water to take with them a piece of the shrine.

With this wonderful waterfall, there is even a legend associated, which says that for a very long time a mysterious wanderer has struck a staff in the place where the waterfall is flowing now, and milk has poured from the rock. Since then it has become a holy place, pilgrims from everywhere came there. However, after a while people began to not respect the source, so instead of milk there is now flowing ordinary water.
