- Sarala-Saz jailoo
Jailoo Sarala-Saz is a mountain pasture located 54 km north-west of the village of Kochkor. It is located at an altitude of more than 3000 m. Its name, translated from Kyrgyz, means “yellowish swamp”, jailoo was due to the characteristic color of the grass growing here and the almost complete absence of bushes and trees around. There are several interesting tourist sites not far from the jailoo in Sarala-Saz: ancient burial mounds dating from the 1-5 centuries, a gallery of petroglyphs and a mysterious waterfall hidden among the rocks called “Find me”. In August, a festival of national games is held in the meadows of Sarala-Saz.
