- Lake Chatyr-Kul
Chatyr-Kul Lake is located between the At-Bashi and Torugart-Too ranges at an altitude of 3530 m above sea level. The lake lives up to its name “heavenly lake”. Lake Chatyr Kul is the third largest lake in Kyrgyzstan: its area is 175 square meters. However, it is relatively small - up to 20 meters. The lake is connected by ice. The lake is part of the Karatal-Zhapyryk national reserve. Different species of animals and birds live on the banks of Chatyr-Kul - snow leopards, marmots, ibex and mountain geese.
