- Kalmak-Ashu pass
The height of the Kalmak-Ashuu pass is 3,447 m above sea level. Passing through it, you can reach the northern shore of Son-Kul Lake. It is noteworthy that the road through the pass is open only in summer and autumn (from June to October), the rest of the time it remains impassable due to heavy snowfall. Nature is surprising: stone deserts are replaced by endless high-mountain meadows, decorated with beautiful edelweiss.
