- Karakol gorge
5 km from the main town of the Issyk-Kul region of Karakol there is a gorge of the same name. The cable car has a length of up to 40 km and adjoins the Terskei Ala-Too ridge. In the mountaineering camp there is a mountaineering camp. These are Dzhigit peak (5130 m), Karakol peak (5281 m), Przhevalsky peak (4283 m), Zhukov peak (4450 m), Telman peak (4460 m), Dimitrov peak (4450 m), Fuchik peak (4210 m) Peak Gastello (4350 m). Sea buckthorn, barberry, wild rose, mountain flowers and, of course, thick meadow grasses grow on the slopes of the Karakol gorge. With an increase in height, they are replaced by spruce and juniper forests, complementing the composition of subalpine and alpine attractions. The fauna of the gorge is also interesting: Capricorn, roe deer, lynx, wild boars, snow leopards, wolves, bears, and golden eagles live here. For example, glacial-sea lakes, cascades of waterfalls, Lake Ala-Kul (3532 m above sea level).
