- Cultural Center “Ruh Ordo” named after Chingiz Aitmatov
In 2002, in the town of Cholpon-Ata, right on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, a unique open-air cultural center Ruh-Ordo was built. Translated from the Kyrgyz language Ruh-Ordo means "spiritual center." The Ruh-Ordo Cultural Center provides every visitor with the opportunity for spiritual development and self-awareness, and also combines elements of different cultures and religions. Here you can see images of famous people of the past and present, masterfully depicted in sculptures. You can visit the Buddhist, Catholic, Orthodox, Muslim and Jewish chapels, standing next to each other under the same sky and symbolizing the unity of the faith of all people. On the territory of the Ruh-Ordo complex there is a large concert stage with unique acoustics, where concerts and cultural events are often held. In this place there were four conversations, symbolizing the four directions of light or the four seasons.
