- Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge
Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge is located 60 km west of the city of Karakol. Its name is “big red water”. The reason for this phenomenon is the land of red clay that stains water. The length of the gorge is about 40 km. In 2000, beautiful forests were grown, with a lot of mushrooms and berries. Because of the animals in the forests of the Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge, you can see boars, kekliks, roes, pheasants and marmots. In the gorge of the right tributary, in Gili-Suu, there are hot hydrogen sulfide springs, the water temperature in which is +43 degrees Celsius. At the top of the gorge are the passes of 50 years of Kyrgyzstan (4,600 m), Ulyanovsk (4,490 m), Hope (4,450 m), Mysteries (4,400 m), Ashu-Tor (3,900 m), through which you can get to the Kolpakovsky glacier - one of ridges Terskei Ala-Too.
