- Chon-Ak-Suu gorge
Chon-Ak-Suu gorge (Grigoriev gorge) is located 60 km from the city of Cholpon-Ata. It descends to Kungei Ala-Too and stretches for 35 km along the shoreline of Issyk-Kul Lake. The slopes in the gorge are rather gentle, covered with forests of coniferous trees. A river flows along the bottom of the gorge, carrying streams of glacial water. Sea buckthorn, raspberry and barberry grow on its banks. From June to September, yurts are established in the Chon-Ak-Suu gorge to help them get acquainted with this way of life. In the gorge, you can take a trip to the lake of high moraine. Lake Average and 6 km from the beautiful Lake Superior. Further, at an altitude of 3000-3500 m there is already a zone of alpine meadows. In Kum-Bel (4200 m) and Eschenbulak (4647 m) there are two beautiful snow peaks with ice caps.
