- Braskoon gorge
Barskoon gorge is located on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, 80 km from Karakol. The length of the gorge is about 30 km. Rare shrubs and steppe perches grow at the beginning of the gorge. Further, on both sides of the gorge, huge Tien Shan spruces rise. Above 2800 m juniper groves begin to appear. Yuri Gagarin, who rested on the southern coast of Issyk-Kul after its flight into space. Peak Heroes Panfilovtsev (4610 m) and the peak of the World Peace Council (4310 m). Barskoon gorge is famous for its cascade of waterfalls. The most picturesque are the interesting names: Tears of the Leopard, Aksakal Beard, Champagne Splashes and Manas Bowl. Kumtor, and it is noteworthy that in many small rivers one can see particles of golden sand playing in the sun.
