The grandiose historical and architectural complex of Shah-Fazil is located in the Alabuk district of the Jalal-Abad region, 10 km from the village of Kerben. It includes the sacred mountain Archa-Mazar, the mausoleum of Shah-Fazil (XI century), the mosque (XVIII-XIX centuries), the Mausoleums of Alamberdar and Safid-Buland (XIX century), the Cave of the Holy Hermit. The Shah-Fazil Mausoleum is unique in its origin and significance, as it is one of the rare architectural monuments of the Karakhanid era. The four walls of the mausoleum are the same length and face exactly to the cardinal points. The height of the building is 15.5 meters. The upper part of the mausoleum is covered with a huge cylindrical dome. Inside, Shah-Fazil is decorated with carved ganch ornament of bright colors. Historians have established that the mausoleum is the grave of the Fergana Shah Mahmoud ibn-Nasyr, the ruler of the Karakhanid era. Currently, many pilgrims from Central Asia come to the historical and architectural complex of Shah-Fazil.
