Chandalashsky (Sandalashsky), a brave man, departs from the Talas Ala-Too ridge at the source of the Kara-Buura river. It shares the basins of the Chatkal and Chandalash rivers. The length of the ridge is 75-80 km. The highest point of the ridge is at an altitude of 4114 m above sea level. The northwestern slope of the Chandalash Range is gentle, and the northeastern slope is rather steep. The height of the ridge gradually decreases in the southwestern part. On the ridge there are two passes: Ashu-Tor (3387 m) and Kum-Bel (3250 m).
