A small gorge Chunkurchak is located at the source of the Alamedin River, 45 km from the city of Bishkek. A national biosphere reserve was created on the territory of the gorge, designed to save rare species of tulips from extinction. It is here that the majestic and beautiful Royal Tulip grows, reaching 17 cm in height! In the gorge is the famous forty-foot Pigeon Falls, where water flows down the steps of sharp rocks. The presence of rocky mountains in the height of 100-200 m in the gorge Chunkurchak makes it attractive for fans of mountaineering and rock climbing, so often it holds competitions in these sports.
